Silver got themselves on the board against Albuquerque Academy on Saturday, but Albuquerque Academy never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Chargers with a sharp 10-0 win. The Fighting Colts might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Isabell Villa was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Alexah Chavez also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Silver was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Albuquerque Academy only posted a batting average of .118.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Silver, bringing their record up to 10-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Albuquerque Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Silver will take on Bloomfield in a tournament on Saturday. Bloomfield has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.17 runs per game on average), something Silver will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Albuquerque Academy, they will be taking part in a tournament against Piedra Vista at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
