Adding to the longest winning streak in Heart of America this week, Sedgwick beat Independent 55-14. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Cardinals.
Sedgwick took down the Panthers 55-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Dalton Brandt ran for 174 yards and caught 2 passes for 80 yards during the win.
Blake Drueker was a key player and the best on defense this week as Inman defeated Herington. The 5-foot-9 junior grabbed 2 interceptions.
Brylie Ware threw for 223 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Greer Chandler was the best wideout in the league this week as Jeff Werner's team beat Independent. Chandler tallied 6 receptions for 84 yards. Brandt helped Sedgwick's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 80 yards.
Sedgwick's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cardinals feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Ware has thrown for 1,782 yards and 13 touchdowns this season, while Chandler has 38 catches for 621 yards.
Moundridge made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,278 from 11,014. The improvement was the result of a 40-35 victory over Hillsboro last week.
