Rancho Verde had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Lakeside Lancers as they made off with a 13-1 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-2 back in April.

Isabelle Sena made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Rancho Verde let Sadie Menendez and Khylee Dade run wild. Menendez went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Dade went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Serenity Menendez was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Rancho Verde was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .481. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in ten consecutive matchups.

Rancho Verde's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lakeside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-15.
