The Winter Haven Christian Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 65-41 walloping at the hands of Mater Brighton Lakes Academy.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mater Brighton Lakes Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Yadiel Johannes, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Pierre- louis, who scored 12 points.
Winter Haven Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Mater Brighton Lakes Academy, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winter Haven Christian will take on Excel Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mater Brighton Lakes Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Four Corners at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
