Highlands had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Brackenridge on Tuesday. The Owls were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Eagles. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Owls this season.

While Highlands won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-11, 25-16.

Jenesis Rodriguez paced Highlands' offense, picking up ten kills. Rodriguez got some help from Autumn Lopez and her 16 assists. Aria Velez controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Highlands is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Brackenridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Highlands wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North on the 29th. As for Brackenridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Knippa on the 29th.
