The Piedmont Academy Cougars will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Trinity Christian Crusaders at 7:30 p.m. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Piedmont Academy and three for Trinity Christian.
Piedmont Academy fell victim to Lake Oconee Academy's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 55-0 loss at the hands of the Titans. Piedmont Academy was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Meanwhile, Trinity Christian was the victim of a tough 33-13 defeat at the hands of Brentwood two weeks ago. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Trinity Christian in their matchups with Brentwood: they've now lost five in a row.
Piedmont Academy has yet to win a contest on the road this season, leaving them with a 2-8 record. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 5.3 points per game. As for Trinity Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
