Newsome took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Armwood Hawks 33-6. That's more bragging rights for the Wolves, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Among those leading the charge was Sadie Avery, who threw for 144 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Another player making a difference was Emma Cleary, who picked up 25 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Newsome didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Hannah Bingaman, Avery, and Kensley Hiscock picked up one apiece.
Coming up, Newsome will head out to challenge Bloomingdale at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Armwood, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Durant at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
