Cannon won the last time it faced North Raleigh Christian Academy, and things went their way on Friday, too. Cannon crushed North Raleigh Christian Academy 38-0. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 21-0.
No one had a larger role in the success than senior Gabe Ortiz, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 106 yards and 2 touchdowns. This was the first game for both teams, giving Cannon a 1-0 record and starting North Raleigh Christian Academy off at 0-1.
Next week, Cannon take on Mitchell at 7:00 PM. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, they will face of against Fayetteville Christian. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous game, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
