The Worth County Tigers and the St. Joseph Christian Lions will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Worth County is no doubt hoping to put an end to a ten-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Worth County's game on Tuesday was all tied up 17-17 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. The matchup between them and Pattonsburg wasn't particularly close, with Worth County falling 54-39.
Despite their defeat, Worth County saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kristen Tracy, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Kynah Steele was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, St. Joseph Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 53-40 to North Platte.
Worth County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for St. Joseph Christian, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-6.
Worth County couldn't quite finish off the Lions in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 and fell 37-34. Can Worth County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
