Loyola Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They had just enough and edged out the Lane Tech Champions 2-1. The Ramblers haven't had any issues with the Champions recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Loyola Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-22, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Lane Tech still got an impressive performance from Lena Palus, who had 18 digs and two aces.

Loyola Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Niles West on the 27th. As for Lane Tech, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Niles North on the 26th.
