Softball Recap: Arcata Triumphs

While Arcata's win against Eureka wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers won by a run and slipped past the Loggers 9-8. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Loggers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Peyton Miller was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Cunningham, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Arcata's record now sits at 6-9. As for Eureka, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-15-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Arcata is set to face off against their familiar foe Fortuna at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Eureka will challenge rival McKinleyville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
