The South Adams Starfires's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 45-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Parkway. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for South Adams in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost four in a row.
South Adams' loss came despite strong showings from Tytus Lehman and Owen Wanner. Lehman scored 11 points along with seven rebounds, while Wanner scored ten points along with three steals.
South Adams' loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Parkway, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.
South Adams will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Flying Jets at 7:30 p.m. Adams Central presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Starfires in Indiana (the Flying Jets are ranked 74th, while the Starfires are ranked 427th). As for Parkway, they and the Tigers will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Versailles is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
