The Milpitas Trojans will head out to challenge the Los Gatos Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Milpitas comes in on four and Los Gatos on six.
If Milpitas beats Los Gatos with 45 points on Monday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Trojans claimed a resounding 45-0 victory over Mountain View. Considering the Trojans have won 12 games by more than 19 points this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Milpitas' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bren David, who threw for 109 yards and four TDs, and also rushed for 84 yards on only nine carries. Breanna Onyeggegbu was in the mix too, providing the Trojans with three scores.
Milpitas didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Hannah Robbins led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. She is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as she's now made six or more in each of the last three games she's played. Dahana Gonzalez got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Los Gatos got themselves on the board against Gunn on Wednesday, but Gunn never followed suit. They strolled past the Titans with points to spare, taking the game 18-0. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Titans are ranked 348th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Milpitas better keep an eye on Helena Younan. She was instrumental in Los Gatos' win, throwing for 238 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also punching in one TD on the ground. What's more, Younan racked up 18 rushing yards, the most she's had over her last ten matchups. Los Gatos' leading receiver Sophie Riese was Younan's top target yet again, picking up 172 receiving yards.
Milpitas' record is now 15-5. As for Los Gatos, their record now sits at an identical 15-5.
Milpitas couldn't quite finish off Los Gatos in their previous meeting back in September and fell 12-10. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
