Basketball Recap: Arendell Parrott Academy Continues Road Dominance on Thursday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Greenfield, Arendell Parrott Academy was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 54-47 win over the Liberty Christian Academy Heat. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Heat back in November of 2024, they had to take a 53-38 loss.

Liberty Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Deon Whitner Jr, who posted 13 points and six rebounds. Whitner Jr is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last five games he's played. Ryan Nyambane was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

Arendell Parrott Academy pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.2 points per game. As for Liberty Christian Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arendell Parrott Academy will welcome Cape Fear Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Liberty Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against John Paul II Catholic at 6:45 p.m.
