Central (Crystal Lake, Ill.).
The Whip-Purs pulled ahead on a rushing touchdown, and subsequently went into halftime leading 8-6. The Tigers scored the winning points with a passing touchdown that came in the third quarter.
Kyle Lavand was the top performer for Central. The junior quarterback ran for one touchdown.
Hampshire's lone touchdown came on a 6-yard run in the first quarter.
CHS came into the game allowing 14.9 points per game.
A 55-6 Central victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
