Cape Coral Christian's Daulton Reiter recorded the longest rushing play in Florida Christian I (6 Man) this season in his game against Nicaea Academy last week. Reiter's team beat Nicaea Academy as he sprinted for 68 yards on the play and finished with 184 in all.
Canterbury extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Miami Christian, 76-13. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Canterbury's dynamic duo of Alex Rabinowitz and Blake Dunkle proved tough for the Victors to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Rabinowitz threw for 156 yards and three touchdowns and Dunkle had 106 yards receiving. Steven Hueniken helped Canterbury's passing attack out by catching three balls for 88 yards.
Wyatt Smith made the biggest impact on defense this week as Michael Marciaino's team defeated Miami Christian. The defensive lineman racked up one sack.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between the Cougars and Nicaea Academy. Canterbury enters the game ranked second in the state, while Nicaea Academy ranks 17th.
Golden Rule Academy had been ranked 21st, but fell to 26 following the defeat.
