Clark/Willow Lake and Waverly/South Shore played the most contested game in Eastern Coteau (9 Man) this week, with Clark/Willow Lake eventually emerging with a 20-16 victory.
Dylan Lick put up the best numbers in passing as Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah] beat Wilmot. He finished with a total of 4 completions for 75 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Austin Grout was the best running back in the league this week. In 31 carries, he ran for 163 yards as Webster lost to Florence/Henry. Tyler Wagner also contributed to the rushing game with 75 yards on the ground.
He was 4-7 with 0 interceptions.
Moffenbier was the best wideout in the league this week as the Panthers fell to the Flyers. Moffenbier racked up 6 receptions for 80 yards.
Kale Stieg made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Chargers bested the Dragons. The 5-foot-10 freshman.
Great Plains Lutheran's Wylie Bistodeau and Moffenbier have formed a dream team this season, leading Eastern Coteau (9 Man) in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Bistodeau has thrown for 287 yards this season, while Moffenbier has 13 catches for 195 yards. Grout from the Bearcats leads the league in rushing with 393 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Hamlin takes on the Coyotes. At the moment, Jeff Sheehan's team is in first, while Waverly/South Shore is in third.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Chargers take on Steve Hilgemann's team. Hamlin has allowed 0 points this season, while the Coyotes have given up 36. The Chargers allowed 0 points last week as they defeated Waubay/Summit.
The Tigers led the league in scoring this week by notching 54 points on the Wolves. Lick ran for 105 yards during the win.
