New Haven proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by nine) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Purdue Polytechnic Techies 7-5. The victory was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on three straight.

New Haven's win bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Purdue Polytechnic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Haven will head out to take on Fort Wayne Snider at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 10.9 runs per game this season. As for Purdue Polytechnic, they are taking a road trip to square off against Warren Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
