Basketball Recap: Maryville Skates Past Trinity Christian Academy with Ease

Maryville posted their biggest win since January 5, 2024 on Friday. They claimed a resounding 70-30 victory over the Trinity Christian Academy Lions.

Maryville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brayden Hazelbaker, who posted 13 points in addition to six assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Robertson, who put up ten points and six rebounds.

Hazelbaker wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Maryville was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Trinity Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Kaleb Williams, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Craddock, who had six points.

Maryville now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Trinity Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3.

Maryville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 52-44 win against Bradley Central on the 21st. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 73-64 victory against Hardin Valley Academy on the 21st.
