Valley View is 0-1 against Flour Bluff since October of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Valley View Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Flour Bluff Hornets at 7:00 p.m. Valley View will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
Last Friday, Valley View got themselves on the board against Porter, but Porter never followed suit. Everything went their way against the Cowboys as they made off with a 21-0 victory.
Meanwhile, Flour Bluff had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They breezed by Mercedes at home to the tune of 55-14. The result was nothing new for Flour Bluff, who have now won three games by 39 points or more so far this season.
Jayden Paluseo continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 257 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per attempt. Paluseo is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played. Jayden Johnson was another key contributor, picking up 91 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Their wins bumped Valley View to 2-5 and Flour Bluff to 4-2.
