The More Knights came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against KIPP San Jose Collegiate by a score of 64-54. The score was all tied up 29-29 at the break, but More was the better team in the second half.
Tim Selway continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 29 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of More's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Selway, who scored seven points along with six assists.
More has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for KIPP San Jose Collegiate, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. More won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against East Palo Alto Academy at 4:30 p.m. on January 19th. As for KIPP San Jose Collegiate, they will head out on the road to challenge DCP Alum Rock at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. DCP Alum Rock will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive.
