Continental is 3-0 against Montpelier since January of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Continental Pirates will head out on the road to face off against the Montpelier Locomotives at 6:15 p.m. on February 10th. Continental is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 58-23, which was the final score in Continental's tilt against Ottoville on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Continental in their matchups with Ottoville: they've now lost nine in a row.
Meanwhile, Montpelier earned a 55-44 win over North Central on Friday. The victory was just what Montpelier needed coming off of a 65-41 loss in their prior contest.
Continental's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Montpelier, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Continental barely slipped by Montpelier in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, winning 37-36. The rematch might be a little tougher for Continental since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
