The Hughson Huskies lost against the Riverbank Bruins back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Hughson fell 49-42 to Riverbank. Hughson has not had much luck with Riverbank recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the loss, Hughson still got an impressive performance from Cade Mclaughlin, who scored 12 points.
Rolando Bazan continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Riverbank, scoring 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Erick Jimenez, who scored 12 points.
Hughson has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for Riverbank, they pushed their record up to 14-5 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Hughson will square off against Ripon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ripon is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games. As for Riverbank, they will be playing at home against Ripon Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Averaging 59.2 so far this season, Ripon Christian's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Riverbank better be ready for a challenge.
