The Russellville Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 73-64 to Tipton. Russellville has struggled against Tipton recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Tipton had a senior duo take command as Jackson Bailey scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and six steals and Zach Moon scored 20 points along with nine rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Bailey has scored at least 25% of Tipton's points. Another player making a difference was Emmett Haas, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Russellville's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-8. As for Tipton, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Russellville will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Boonville on Saturday. As for Tipton, they will be playing at home against Sweet Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sweet Springs is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
