Gainesville gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They won by a goal and slipped past the Habersham Central Raiders 4-3. This was payback for the Red Elephants, who suffered a 1-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

They hit Habersham Central with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Daniel Galaviz (2), Abraham Vazquez, and Gabriel Ixcoy Calel.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gainesville will take on North Forsyth at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Habersham Central, they will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Cherokee Bluff at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
