Baseball Recap: Genesee Wins Going Away Against Nezperce

Genesee won the last time they faced Nezperce and things went their way on Saturday too. The Genesee Bulldogs put the hurt on the Nezperce Nighthawks with a sharp 12-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Neil Jarolimek made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single hit and allowed only one earned run while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. Jarolimek was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

In other batting news, Noah Bollman was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while going 3-for-3. Jackson Banks was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

Genesee always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nezperce only posted an OBP of .375.

Genesee's record is now 2-0. As for Nezperce, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Genesee will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Colton at 4:00 p.m. on April 14th. As for Nezperce, they will take on Clearwater Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
