Mojave River recap September 4, 2013
Semaje Williams of Hesperia ran for the longest rushing play in Mojave River this season against Silverado last week. Williams' team bested the Hawks as he sprinted for 60 yards on the play and finished with 250 in all.
Hesperia scaled the state rankings by moving to 473 from 573 this week, the biggest jump in the league. Jeremy Topete's team climbed the ranks as a result of besting Silverado 38-35.
Austin Williams and Williams gave the Scorpions a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Deangelo Wooley also contributed to the rushing game with 55 yards on the ground.
