The Douglas Tigers lost against the Uxbridge Spartans back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Douglas took a 56-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Uxbridge.
When it comes to explaining why Douglas lost, one person who can't be blamed is Adam Dunphy. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points. Dunphy scored a full 34.7% of Douglas' points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Josh Farrell was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Uxbridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ethan Mccusker led the charge by scoring 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mccusker has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Spencer, who scored 15 points.
Douglas' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2. As for Uxbridge, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Douglas won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Bartlett at 5:00 p.m. on December 20th. Uxbridge will be home for the holidays to greet Quaboag Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
