Last Tuesday, St. Mary's took a serious blow against Rocky Mount Academy, falling 63-16. St. Mary's has struggled against Rocky Mount Academy recently, as their contest last Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their loss, St. Mary's saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Julia Painter, who scored 6 points, was perhaps the best of all.
Meanwhile, O'Neal put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Ravenscroft as O'Neal made off with a 59-37 win. Considering O'Neal has won four matches by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for O'Neal, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.
