Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Miramonte walked away with it. They took down Alhambra 34-17 on Friday.
Jack Quinnild and Carson Blair were among the main playmakers for Miramonte as the former picked up 98 receiving yards and three touchdowns and the latter threw for 206 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 passes.
Meanwhile, St. Bernard's put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Analy 49-0 at home. The victory was familiar territory for St. Bernard's who now have three in a row.
Wyatt Simoni continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 307 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 11.8 yards per carry. Simoni's longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards.
Miramonte's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for St. Bernard's, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
