The Beech Buccaneers will head out to face off against the Clarksville Academy Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Beech is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
Beech barely beat Rockvale the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Everything went Beech's way against Rockvale on Wednesday as Beech made off with a 12-2 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Buccaneers considering their two-run performance the contest before.
Reece Hall looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kaden Powell, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. He has become a key player for Beech: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-4 otherwise. Jackson Kennedy was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Cougars on Tuesday. Clarksville Academy fell just short of Dickson County by a score of 6-4. Clarksville Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Colton Wallace put in work while hitting and pitching. He tossed 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. Wallace was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Wallace wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jalon Page, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Beech is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. Clarksville Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Beech hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.8 home runs per game. However, it's not like Clarksville Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
