The Heritage Patriots lost against the Dublin Gaels back in December of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Heritage had to suffer through a rough 87-47 loss at the hands of Dublin. While losing is never fun, Heritage can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 491st, while Dublin is ranked 50th).
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nate Grube, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Austin Beltram was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Heritage's defeat was their third straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-4. As for Dublin, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.
Heritage will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Lathrop at 5:00 p.m. on December 15th. Dublin will be home for the holidays to greet Castro Valley at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
