Marmonte - West recap September 24, 2013
Agoura's Sean Bar rumbled for the longest rushing play in Marmonte - West this season in his game against Golden Valley last week. Bar's team topped the Grizzlies as he sprinted for 55 yards on the play and finished with 303 in all.
Calabasas lost to Oak Park 52-27 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Chris Davis was the best receiver in the league this week as Oaks Christian fell to Chaminade. Davis racked up 12 receptions for 127 yards. Jeremy Vincent helped Oaks Christian's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 57 yards.
Bar was a beast in the backfield as Agoura defeated Golden Valley.
CASE COOKUS put up the best numbers in passing as Thousand Oaks topped West Ranch. He finished with 22 completions for 235 yards and 2 touchdowns. COOKUS's favorite target this week was KEVIN HOWELL, who caught 7 passes for 60 yards.
He went 22-29 with 1 interception.
Bar was the most successful running back in the league this week. Alex Antzoulatos also contributed to the rushing game with 45 yards on the ground.
Leading Marmonte - West in both passing and receiving yards, the Lions' Brandon Dawkins and Davis have proven to be a lethal combination. Dawkins has thrown for 1,347 yards this season, while Davis, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 39 catches for 644 yards. Charlie Wegher's team's Bar leads the league in rushing yards with 699.
The Chargers led the league in scoring this week after putting up 45 points on Robert Fisher's team. Bar during the win.
