The Lorain Titans will take on the Cleveland Heights Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Lorain's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
On Wednesday, Lorain got the win against Maple Heights by a conclusive 17-2. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by 11 runs or more this season.

Olivia Charlton made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Ja'Ly Cortes and Kyraa Swiger did most of the damage at the plate: Cortes went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs, while Swiger scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Cortes is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Alonna Coleman, who scored two runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-2.
Lorain kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Cleveland Heights came up short against Brush on Wednesday, falling 18-4. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Arcs: they've now lost four in a row.
Vivian Portner made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Jeaux Snead was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases.
Lorain is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Cleveland Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Cleveland Heights' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Lorain has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.7 hits per game. It's a different story for Cleveland Heights, though, as they've been averaging 13.5 hits. Given Lorain's sizable advantage in that area, the Tigers will need to find a way to close that gap.
Lorain took their win against Cleveland Heights in their previous meeting back in May of 2023 by a conclusive 22-10 score. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
