Volleyball Recap: Bethune Starts Season with Victory Against Liberty Tree Academy

Bethune had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Liberty Tree Academy War Eagles. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the War Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

While Bethune won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-23.

This is the second loss in a row for Liberty Tree Academy and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Bethune didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Antonito on the 23rd. As for Liberty Tree Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Miami-Yoder at 4:30 p.m. on September 2.
