The Englewood Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They fell 49-36 to Sandalwood. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Englewood in their matchups with Sandalwood: they've now lost nine in a row.
Englewood lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tayshaun Solomon, who scored two points along with eight assists and five steals. That's the first time this season that Solomon posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Kevon Roulhac, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Even though they lost, Englewood were working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. This was only their seventh loss (out of eight games) when they've passed the ball that well.
Englewood bumped their record down to 1-10 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Sandalwood, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.
Englewood won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Atlantic Coast at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Atlantic Coast is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. Sandalwood's road trip will continue as they head out to face Crestview at 11:00 a.m. on January 20th.
