The Houston Math Science & Tech Tigers lost against the Bellaire Cardinals back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Houston Math Science & Tech took a 38-21 bruising from Bellaire. Houston Math Science & Tech has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Bellaire's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chance Diebner led the charge by rushing for 119 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also throwing for 82 yards and a touchdown. Diebner was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 57 yards. Will Hazen and his 92 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Bellaire's win.
Houston Math Science & Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Bellaire, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-5.
Houston Math Science & Tech will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Heights at 12:00 p.m. Heights knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Houston Math Science & Tech likes a good challenge. As for Bellaire, they will head out on the road to face off against Chavez on Thursday. Chavez is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
