It was a good run, but the Ribault Trojans unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Andrew Jackson by a score of 49-46. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Ribault has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Ribault lost, one person who can't be blamed is Caleb Williams. Despite the final result, he scored 32 points. Williams hasn't dropped below 15points for 12 straight games.
Ribault's defeat dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Andrew Jackson, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ribault will take on Spruce Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Spruce Creek will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 379th, while Ribault is ranked 77th). As for Andrew Jackson, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Gray Collegiate Academy at 7:00 p.m.
