Leflore County was led to victory by Olivia Hilton and Jordan Dixon. Hilton scored 11 points along with five rebounds and five steals, while Dixon scored five points along with five rebounds and five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for Hilton. The team also got some help courtesy of Monica Coleman, who scored seven points.
Leland bumped their record down to 1-7 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.9 points per game. As for Leflore County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-7 record this season.
