If The Perry Central Commodores were riding high off their 47-7 takedown of the Mitchell Bluejackets last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Perry Central was beaten by North Posey 55-8 on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 47 points in the game before, Perry Central couldn't push the score so high this time.
Liam Stone was on fire for North Posey: he rushed for 81 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 180 yards and three touchdowns on only nine passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Jed Galvin, who gained 90 total yards and two touchdowns.
Perry Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for North Posey, the win was the fifth in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
Perry Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. North Posey is on the road again on Friday and play against Evansville Mater Dei at 6:30 p.m. on October 27th. The timing isn't great for Evansville Mater Dei: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while North Posey has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
