On Arcola's side, Kacie Sisk was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. Sisk was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-3 with a home run, three runs, and three RBI.
In other batting news, Ema Simpson was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Ava Simpson was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Sullivan's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Arcola, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Sullivan will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against St. Teresa at 4:30 p.m. As for Arcola, they will head out on the road to face off against Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
