Mt. Shasta had won four straight  games  and  Kaley Lanier did her part to make it five on Tuesday. The Bears came within a single  set of losing the streak, but they secured  a   3-2 W against the Trinity Wolves for which the team can thank  Lanier, who  had 43  digs. She has been hot for a while, having  posted 11 or more  digs the last 24 times she's  played.
 It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Mt. Shasta got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 12-25, 25-16, 22-25,  15-13.
 Mt. Shasta was led to victory by  Amirra Funk and  Madelyn Harrison.  Funk  had 12  digs and two  aces, while  Harrison  had 12  digs and ten  kills. That's the most  kills  Harrison has posted since back in October of 2024.
Mt. Shasta's record now sits at 14-5-2. As for Trinity, they dropped their record down to 14-11 with the  loss, which was their fifth straight  on the road.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Mt. Shasta will  challenge  rival Fall River  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Trinity is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Weed  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
