On Thursday, Cypress Springs didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Dickinson, but they still walked away with a 54-50 victory. Given Cypress Springs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while Dickinson is ranked 840th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cypress Springs to victory, but perhaps none more so than Stoney Hadnot, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Josh Green was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Cypress Springs and bumps their season record up to 11-2. As for Dickinson, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
Cypress Springs won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cypress Ranch at 4:30 p.m. on December 8th. Cypress Ranch will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. Dickinson will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Keller at 4:30 p.m. on December 8th. One thing working in Keller's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
