Softball Recap: Churubusco Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Churubusco, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Prairie Heights Panthers with a sharp 11-1 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Churubusco's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-4. As for Prairie Heights, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Churubusco will take on Eastside at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Blazers will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Prairie Heights, they will venture away from home to take on Angola at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.2 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
