The Colonial Forge Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Riverbend Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Colonial Forge is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Colonial Forge faced Mountain View in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Colonial Forge took a 31-13 bruising from Mountain View.
Meanwhile, Riverbend had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past North Stafford 41-20. Riverbend pushed the score to 35-0 by the end of the third, a deficit North Stafford cut but never quite recovered from.
Jordyn Thomas continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 124 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries.
Riverbend's victory bumped their season record to 3-3 while Colonial Forge's loss dropped theirs to 6-1.
Colonial Forge was dealt a bruising 29-0 loss at the hands of Riverbend in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Can Colonial Forge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
