George Jenkins' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Taylor Gibson, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Anessa Mayfield, who scored ten points.
Arissa Jenkins was her usual excellent self, scoring 19 points for Haines City. That makes it three consecutive games in which Jenkins has scored at least a third of Haines City's points. Zebrelle Canaday was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
George Jenkins' loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-10. As for Haines City, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.
