The Wapakoneta Redskins will head out on the road to take on the Shawnee Indians at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Wapakoneta's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Shawnee's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Wapakoneta's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over Greenville. The result was nothing new for the Redskins, who have now won four matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Joel Moore
Joel Moore made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Wapakoneta is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-5 otherwise. Moore was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Blake Rogers, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Daron Houser also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Wapakoneta always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Shawnee's offense. They came up short against Defiance on Tuesday, falling 6-0. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.
Wapakoneta pushed their record up to 7-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Shawnee, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.
Wapakoneta was able to grind out a solid win over Shawnee when the teams last played back in April of 2025, winning 4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Redskins since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
