The Valley View Cougars will venture away from home to  square off against the Abington Heights Comets  at 7:15  p.m.  on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Valley View's pitching crew heads into the  matchup  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Monday. They blew past Delaware Valley 12-0. The  win was familiar territory for the Cougars, who have now won six  games in a row.
Delaware Valley's batters probably weren't too happy with  Taylor Cawley, who pitched a no hitter  and racked up 14 Ks (she gave up zero walks). Cawley has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 17 consecutive appearances.

 On the hitting side,  Kalli Karwowski was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with one  home run, two  triples,  and three  runs. Those  two  triples gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Zoie Krupovich, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Valley View  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least eight  hits in 14 consecutive  contests.
Meanwhile, Abington Heights had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Buckhorns as they made off with  a  21-2 victory. The Comets' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
 Laurenp Stalica made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. Stalica was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-5 with one  home run and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Cecelia O'Malley was a standout: she went 1-for-5 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and three  runs. That  home run was  her first of the season.  Isabelle Wilmot was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  double.
 Abington Heights' win was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 18-2. The  road  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Valley View, their record now sits at 17-2-1.
 Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging  on Thursday. Valley View hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season,  having  averaged 2.2  home runs per game. However, it's not like Abington Heights struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 0.7  home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.  Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
