The DSST: Cedar Falcons were the 34-26 winner over the Addenbrooke Classical Academy Mustangs when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. DSST: Cedar fell to Addenbrooke Classical Academy 43-38. DSST: Cedar has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
DSST: Cedar lost on Wednesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Katelyn Fortune, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Fortune also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Raniya Paul, who scored 11 points along with six steals.
Leading Addenbrooke Classical Academy to victory were Peyton Trujillo and Lucia Rodriguez. Trujillo dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, while Rodriguez dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Rodriguez has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.
DSST: Cedar now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Addenbrooke Classical Academy, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. DSST: Cedar will take on DSST: Green Valley Ranch at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Addenbrooke Classical Academy, they will play host again and welcome Front Range Baptist, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
