Clearwater Central Catholic added to the longest winning streak in 3A District 5 this week by beating Westminster Christian, 7-0. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Admiral Farragut made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,303 from 5,471.
Clearwater Central Catholic's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jeff Smith threw for 94 yards and CJ Cotman had 37 yards receiving. On the ground Diquan Walker contributed 52 yards. Jacobi Adderley helped Clearwater Central Catholic's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 23 yards.
Smith put up the best numbers through the air as John Davis' team beat the Warriors. Smith's favorite target this week was Cotman, who caught 4 passes for 37 yards.
The Marauders' Smith and Cotman have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback Smith has thrown for 1,213 yards this season, while Cotman has 29 catches for 412 yards. Jaquan Fuller from St. Petersburg Catholic leads the league in rushing with 1,258 yards.
